The Crystal Ship 2024: Mural by KMG

When we invited KMG to Ostend and told the Scottish artist about these three bare walls within the same quarter, it sparked immediately inspiration. Playing with Ensor’s expressionic ‘The Fight’ from 1925, we see here a contemporary reflection of the struggles a community inherently has — is it a fight or more of a hug? However looking alike, it is more Ensor’s attitude that inspired these three pieces as opposed to one specific artwork.
