Mural by Smates for the UCI Road World Championships

Belgian artist Smates honored and immortalized the UCI Road World Championships of 2021, located in Leuven (BE).

The mural aimed to depict the popularity of the festival and the UCI Road World Championships, the diversity of the crowd and of course the vibe around it. Even though the artist himself knew nothing about the discipline on beforehand, because of the craze around it and the event taking place in his homebase Belgium - he did however experience the event and atmosphere from really closeby.
