Marv's Vibrant Mural for Balkan Trafik in Brussels - a Unique Blend of Tradition and Modernity | Street Art Belgium

Every year, the arts festival Balkan Trafik invites a bevy of musicians from the Balkans to Brussels – our legs are still sore from Manu Chao’s performance a few weeks ago. In turn, we added a street artist to the line-up: Marv.
Marv - né Marija Vidović - draws inspiration from nature, stories, and everyday experiences, blending abstract and figurative elements into captivating compositions. The Serbian artist created a gaudy mural of a robin to kick off spring.
In the past 15 years, the Balkan region has seen a transformation. Once focused on the beauty of traditions, we now celebrate the emergence of new talent that respects and builds upon these important traditions across all artistic levels. Marija’s mural is a perfect reflection of this evolution, merging traditional motifs with contemporary artistry.
